ABSTRACT
All the topics discussed so far have been linear problems or problems that could be reasonably simplified into linear situations, each of which finally led to a system of linear algebraic equations. In elastic solid mechanics this was implied in:
linear forms of strain–displacement relationships;
linear forms of stress–strain relationships.
