ABSTRACT
The beam column connection, most frequently used at romanian steel structures is presented by the drawings of Fig.1. it is called direct beam column connection. A short cantilever is welded to the column in the manufacturing process at the workshop. A high quality welded structural joint is ensured. The beam is shaped so the flange gap and web gap to be in the different cross section. The beam is resting on the columns short cantilevers during the laying time. The lifting tool could be put out of work after laying. The cleats settled on both face of the flange realize a symmetrical stress run - off, shown in Fig.lb. An asymmetrical stress run - off is
