ABSTRACT
Finely divided limestone is likely to be the preferred mac on both technical and economic grounds. The introduction of a controlled level of limestone enables both strength development and rheological properties to be modified. Class 42.5 and 52.5 cements can thus be produced from the same clinker and the specification of durable concrete with stable cement contents facilitated. Cement variability can also be reduced, with obvious benefit to the user.
