ABSTRACT
The implementation of the various parts of EN 196 as British Standards in the U.K. continues, although now considerably behind the agreed schedule. However, all the parts of the standard were “made available” in the U.K. many years ago (some as long ago as 1987) and have become familiar to manufacturers, users and testing laboratories, if not perhaps, to the ultimate customer.
