ABSTRACT

Abstract Annual costs of current Dutch watermanagement policy will increase from 8.3 billion guilders in 1995 to 10.4 billion guilders in 2015. Most of the costs are spent on measures to reduce emissions; 47% in 1995 and 60% in 2015. The increase in costs of 1% per year results in an increase in the burden of costs for households with 3% per year, to 260 guilders per inhabitant in 2015 ( / 1.0 = 0.52 $).
