ABSTRACT
The purpose of this chapter is to briefly describe some of the available standards, guidelines and specifications that can be referred to when planning a soil investigation programme that includes CPTs. However, the factors that can influence the results and thereby the specification and interpretation of CPT/CPTU tests and which were discussed in Chapters 2 and 3, must also be taken into account when devising a specification. It is not the purpose of this chapter to give a specification for CPT/CPTU.
