ABSTRACT
By conceptualising the working system in such a way that the human operator is at the centre of events-as the prime component within the system-and by studying the system within this framework, the person-centred approach places considerable emphasis on the paramount needs of the individual and the features, both physical and behavioural, which he or she brings.
