ABSTRACT
The importance of patient information in clinical trials cannot be overestimated. In this chapter patient information leaflets used in the consent procedure are discussed. Useful examples are given of how such information may be simplified-a procedure that researchers often find difficult and time consuming when trying to break away from their usual scientific style.
