Still, there is a problem — too many people adopted a “gold rush” men­ tality in their search for easy money. In doing so, they forgot all the lessons they learned in Business 101. It takes the same business acumen to operate an e-tail e-business model as it does to operate a traditional store on Main Street. The mass marketing of store hosting sites such as Shopnow.com, Oxygen.com and the venerable Yahoo!Store has given everyone an easy way to access the bare essentials necessary to put a store front before the online public, but not to have a viable e-tail business.
