ABSTRACT
As energy costs rose in the 1970s and early 1980s so the cost of generating hydrogen from hydrocarbon feedstocks increased. Hydrogen-rich off-gases that previously had been used as fuel became a valuable source of hydrogen and hydrogen recovery greatly increased in popularity.
