ABSTRACT
Pipe wear rates have been expressed in many different units, both absolute and derived (or `specific). It would be desirable to have a more generally agreed type of unit, to enable results from different sources to be more readily correlated. The Japanese review paper (10) suggests that much more data is needed for a proper analysis of all the various wear factors.
