ABSTRACT
A very limited amount of work has apparently been done on mixtures termed 'enlightened' coal slurries (22). Here additives similar to those used in the froth flotation separation process are mixed with the slurry so that air bubbles will adhere to the coarser particles. Concentrations of over 70 per cent with particle size of 13-25 mm have been achieved.
