ABSTRACT
The design of effective and reliable mixers is a technology of its own and best results are likely to be achieved by consulting the relevant manufacturers. One solution for solving both mixing and mechanical problems is to use a conical vessel. The mixer, a long rotating scroll, is traversed around the conical wall.
