ABSTRACT
Numbers of organic materials including polymers, fossils and biomass can exhibit a liquid state when they are heated beyond a certain temperature; such a temperature is defined as the melting point for pure compounds. The mixtures of organic species can also lead to such a liquid state according to the melting and the dissolution of the compounds. Softening point, instead of melting point, which depends on the method of measurement, is also defined with more complex mixtures.
