ABSTRACT
Head and neck malignancies are rare and constitute less than 5% of all cancers in the western world with an average cure rate of about 50%. When the disease presents early, cure is possible in up to 90% but the patient may still be symptomatic as a result of treatment and they may benefit from many of the management strategies discussed in this chapter.
