ABSTRACT
The extensive use of pesticides at various stages of plant growth to improve agricultural productivity has raised concerns among consumers about its potential contaminating effects on food. Carbamates are one of the major classes of synthetic pesticides and are used on a large scale worldwide on the grounds of their broad biological activity (Li et al., 2004). Some carbamate pesticides are extremely toxic to the central nervous system, suspected carcinogens, or mutagens.
