ABSTRACT

The international joint research project was carried by four research institutions in the framework of the EC INCO-COPERNICUS programme.

The aim of the study was to develop tools on the basis of available software instruments to enable the user to simulate scenarios of variations in agricultural soil use and their effect on groundwater for small catchment areas, smaller than 10 km2. As a result of the planned reconstruction of Polish and Bulgarian agriculture, an increase in the intensity of agricultural soil use due to the conditions of the market is expected.
