ABSTRACT
Cellular Automata modelling paradigm A brief historical review of the origin and further development of Cellular Automata (CA) is presented in this chapter. The main purpose is to emphasise the fundamental aspects of cellular automata and to show some initial applications to modelling hydrodynamics and prey predator system dynamics. The effects o f cellular automata computational stencils are also studied.
