ABSTRACT
Parking behind my wife’s car, I lift my phone out of the hands-free cradle. Outlook pops up a reminder “9 months since the improvement process kicked off.” I stare at the screen and think about all the ups and downs I have been through since then. On reflection, I guess it has been more ups than downs though. I decide to walk round to the back of the house as I am home from work early today and want to surprise Helen.
