ABSTRACT

Puvvada and Blankschtein[26,27] have also developed a molecular model for the mixed micelles based on the same main concepts of Nagarajan’s model, with an analogous calculation process for the different contributions to the free energy of micellization. The main differences have been introduced on the calculation of the deformation (configurational packing term for these authors) and the interfacial terms. It is valid for a wide concentration range over the cmcs, and it predicts the cmc*, micellar shape and size, as well as the coexistence curve bounding the two-phase region of the phase diagram. Later, this group simplified their own model for the cases where the electrostatic interactions are predominant.[28,29]

Other Models Some other models have been also published in the literature for the mixed surfactants with scarce utilization.
