Therefore the problem is the same as before if one can estimate the enthalpy of adsorption. The difference between immersion and wetting is obviously the adsorption of the vapor on the bare solid. But, if the experimental determination of heat of adsorption and heat of wetting is not available (these experiments can be impossible to realize or can be imprecise, and this can be due to very low values of the specific surface area), the equation can be rewritten with the view of using film pressure data. One gets an equation of the following type with the parameters K2, K3, and K4:
