ABSTRACT
The natural biotopes of Gram-negative (aquatic), chemotrophic, fermenting bacteria are the anaerobic sediments of aquatic ecosystems and anaerobic zones of macroorganisms. Table 12.1 displays a periodic table with the groups of prokaryotes mentioned in this section.
