ABSTRACT
In the preceding chapters, some of the authors in research on aquaporins (AQPs) have provided state-of-the-art overviews on the present knowledge of their structure, function and physiological roles in health and diseases. In fact, the main aim of the book is to present AQPs as interesting molecular targets for drug discovery. In this epilogue, we try to address the main challenges and raise questions and topics for further research in this exciting eld.
