ABSTRACT
The main thrust of this chapter is figuring out how to deal with problems that can be phrased in terms of placing balls in boxes. This is harder than it sounds because
1. it’s often difficult to figure out how to correctly phrase a problem and
2. not all types of balls-and-boxes problems have straightforward solutions.
