ABSTRACT
Our notion of probability will be derived entirely from counting the size of sets and the various operations that one can perform on sets. For us, a set will be a collection of objects called elements. Sets can be described as a simple listing of each member of the set or by describing the set in more general terms. The set with no elements is called the empty set and is denoted by the symbol ∅.
