ABSTRACT

A nail tumor may be dened as a swelling of the nail, the nail bed, or the periungual tissues, generally without inammation, caused by an abnormal growth of tissue, whether benign or malignant. Nail tumors in children occur infrequently and the vast majority of these tumors are benign. Malignant nail tumors, however, despite their rarity in children, cannot be completely disregarded or ignored.
