ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses the comparison required by the quality control engineers at the pharmaceutical company. In the pharmaceutical industry, quality engineers are responsible for maintaining the quality of drug products produced in the manufacturing process. The key to quality is an assessment of product characteristics through repeated measurements of the variable of interest. Formulate the null and alternative hypotheses that could be used to test whether the bearing production process is out of control. Humerus bones from the same species of animal tend to have approximately the same length-to-width ratios. When fossils of humerus bones are discovered, archeologists can often determine the species of animal by examining the length-to-width ratios of the bones. The researcher must retain objectivity and judge the practical significance using, among other criteria, knowledge of the subject matter and the phenomenon under investigation.
