There are several considerations that make UI elements unique in terms of State machine integration. In this chapter, we will learn how to make a button function in conjunction with PlayMaker.

What UI does is fairly limited, from a certain perspective. It either informs the player or receives input. What the input does can have dramatic eects of course, but the UI element itself is simply a middle man. is simplicity is reected in PlayMaker’s UI proxy system.
