ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses Power Business Intelligence (BI) Desktop from Microsoft. It provides skills to build robust interactive analytical Human Capital Management Dashboards. Dashboards are combinations of Charts and Reports, often with Selection Options and Drill-Down Capabilities that serve primarily as Executive/Management Information Systems. Distribution of Employees across Salary Ranges is important in Compensation and generally in Human Capital Employee Asset Management. The Salary Range Midpoint is targeted as the market rate for Jobs assigned to the Salary Grade. Employee population appears to be distributed across Salary Range Quartiles in about the same percentage across all Divisions, except for Sales and marketing, that have a high number of employees paid under Salary Range Minimum. All charts and tables developed in the foregoing Salary Range Distribution and Compa-Ratio Analysis developed in BI Desktop were automatically linked by default.
