ABSTRACT

This chapter concerns how to test an interface to improve the user's visual awareness of and productivity with interface. The verbal, allows the user and tester to interact and exchange ideas about the interface being tested. When assessing interviews, it is important to take notes about not only verbal feedback but also body language, especially that regarding the interaction between the user and interface. A user might say interface works well and explain it in detail, taking a very accommodating attitude, while at same time plainly struggling to read the navigation and content because the typeface is too small. Positive feedback reinforces what works in created interface, which is one less thing to change. Keep in mind that one individual saying the menu works very well does not mean anything. Negative feedback is usually important than positive feedback because it helps the designer to resolve problems. The negative feedback, the fewer problems future users will have when interacting with the interface.
