ABSTRACT

Many researchers across different countries have investigated students’ beliefs about epistemology and factors influencing the beliefs. These factors include gender, age, grade level, fields of study, motivation, and metacognition (Abedalaziz  & Sharifah; Hakan & Munire, 2012; Kessels, 2013; Lin et al., 2013; Ismail, Abedalaziz, & Hussin, 2011; Schommer-Aikins, Duell & Hutter, 2005). A great body of related literature found that beliefs are positively related to age (Ismail, Abedalaziz, Hussin, Mohamed, & Saad, 2012; Ismail, Abedalaziz, & Hussin, 2011; Schommer, 1998).
