ABSTRACT

A key aspect of Lean management is visual management. Visual management is an approach to create an information-rich workplace, using visually stimulating aids such as graphical displays, boards, symbols, electronic boards, digital boards, lights, and so on, with an objective to manage and control performance. It is a proactive approach that translates critical information into visual forms that cannot be ignored. The important data of the company are converted to sensory stimulating information that not only can sustain the current performance levels but also can help to facilitate continual improvement. The larger objective of visual management is to drive operational excellence, cut wastes, and enhance processes.
