ABSTRACT
Questions on electrical components are often asked as part of a question on defibrillators (see Chapter 59, ‘Defibrillators’). Typically, a card with various electrical symbols will be shown to the candidate, and this will lead on to questions regarding the various components. Another favourite topic is amplification and the Wheatstone bridge, including the concept of null deflection, so it is worth spending the time to understand how these work.
