ABSTRACT
Freedom of choice is an important right in the modem world. Within certain legal parameters, individuals have the right to make their own decisions about most aspects of their lives. A key concept in maintaining this freedom is consent. Many activities would be considered illegal, and agreements unenforceable, except for the fact that the participants had provided their consent.
