Making time One of the com m onest questions people ask authors is 'How do you find the tim e?' Like anything else, if you w ant to do it, you will find the time. If you have not w ritten before, look at Chapter 1, w here we suggest how long it takes to write. You m ay be quicker (we doubt it!) or slower, but it is a guide w hen you are m aking your plans. In Chapter 4, you looked at how to m ake a Gantt chart to organise the various deadlines that you have to meet. This tells you roughly how m uch time you will need to set aside each week over how long a period.
