ABSTRACT

The aim of this review is to provide an update on recent findings from neuroimaging that pertain to eating disorders. The studies have been divided into four sections:

1 those that have examined the structure of the brain 2 those that have examined cerebral function by means of blood flow changes in

resting conditions 3 those that have examined cerebral function by means of blood flow following

salient cues, including food and body image, considering both satiated and hungry states

4 those that have examined neurotransmitter function.
