ABSTRACT

Counselling session 1: Wednesday 18th March ^ issues of race and culture Fareeda was glad to have the counselling sessions. She had been giving things a lot of thought since the previous week. Although her apprehension remained, she was more convinced of her need to talk things through and try to ease the tension inside herself. She had felt particularly stressed over the weekend and had gone to see her GP, who was glad she was seeing a counsellor. He suggested that she continue to see Carla but come back to him if she felt she needed to discuss any medication to help her feel a little less anxious and overwhelmed by what was happening.
