ABSTRACT
A few weeks have passed. Ali did come the following week and has since attended the counselling sessions inconsistently. He has also missed some keyworking sessions. However, the service has stayed with him, seeking to maintain contact and to o¡er further counselling appointments and keyworking sessions. It has been a tough time for Ali. He has been compliant to the treatement and has kept to the medication much of the time, but there have also been occasions when he has given up with it and gone back to using cannabis. Each time it has been a reaction to a build-up inside himself, of feeling fragmented, edgy, unable to stop thoughts running in his head. It has made him depressed as well, his mood has swung but he has not had a recurrence of the experience that he had prior to going into hospital.
