Three groups of pest organisms cause biotic stress in wheat: rodents, nematodes and arthropods (Table 1). ‘Wheat pests: introduction, rodents and nematodes’ described features of wheat pests that make them different from wheat diseases and weeds, as well as features of wheat that make pest management in wheat different from pest management in many other major crops. Case studies of rodent and nematode pests of wheat and challenges for their management were presented.
