Disease cycle Disease epidemiology is still being determined. Pseudomonas syringae pv. spinaciae may possibly be seedborne; if this is the case, then seedborne inoculum may be the primary means of pathogen introduction to spinach fields. Weed or other reservoir hosts have not been identified.
