ABSTRACT
Definition Pulmonic regurgitation (PR) refers to retrograde flow across the pulmonic valve during diastole. Trivial amounts of PR are commonly observed in healthy adults and may be considered normal. Regurgitant flow in excess of this is graded on a 1-4 point scale. The grading system is discussed below in the sections addressing laboratory findings.
