ABSTRACT

Although the majority of coronary anomalies are benign, some are a potential cause of cardiovascular morbidity and mortality. The described spectrum of symptoms arising from coronary anomalies includes angina, syncope, congestive heart failure, myocardial infarction, and sudden death5. Sudden cardiac death (SCD) is the most dramatic presentation for a Coronary anomaly. Coronary artery anomalies are particularly prevalent among young patients with sports-related SCD (Table 2).
