ABSTRACT

Life threatening problems found during this survey must be treated as they are identified.

In this girl, her airway and breathing were uncompromized. Intravenous access was secured, however, as hypovolemic shock would be a danger. It is difficult to estimate the blood loss from the time of the accident to the arrival at the hospital. Pain control is also necessary early in the treatment. The railings were later removed and wound toilet carried out in the operating room.
