CASE 12 ANSWER 1 ❏ A raised serum LH/FSH ratio (LH concentration is
frequently elevated in patients with PCOS). ❏ Low levels of SHBG. The elevated SHBG is
secondary to hyperinsulinaemia and leads to elevated free, unbound circulating testosterone.
