ABSTRACT

In this chapter many of the terrestrial parasitoid and predatory arthropods are described. They occur in a wide range of situations and in many different crops. The groups are considered according to their taxonomic order (Table 4.1). For each arthropod, a description is given of its characteristics with details of each stage in its life cycle. The habitat of the arthropod is described, together with the pest organisms with which it associates and, finally, the influence of growing practices on the beneficial.
