ABSTRACT
There is no single diagnostic test to include PG. A tissue biopsy from the edge of the ulcer demonstrates an undermined and ragged epidermis with an underlying dense neutrophilic infiltrate within the dermis. Special stains may be performed on the tissue to exclude an infectious process. Cultures on the tissue are also advisable.
