ABSTRACT
New instrumentation and algorithms have led in an increased interest in near-infrared (NIR) spectrometry by making the technique more powerful, yet simple to use. This brief entry is meant to serve as an introduction to near-infrared spectrometry and its associated hardware, software, and applications.
