ABSTRACT
This entry briefly reviews the basic approach regarding how adsorption at solid surfaces affects different aspects of pharmaceutical development, especially for solid dosage forms, and addresses general pharmaceutical processing, dissolution rate and enhancement for poorly water-soluble compounds. It also includes some case studies to aid in the understanding of the applications and principles involved.
