Corrosion, the degradation of a material's properties or mass over time because of environmental effects, is a costly reality that effects every industry. This entry is focused on the effect of corrosion on the pharmaceutical industry. The entry discusses the basic forms of corrosion, the process of corrosion, and what types of materials should be utilized to avoid corrosion as much as possible in the pharmaceutical industry.
