ABSTRACT
The purpose of this entry is to provide an overview of the applications of supercritical fluid technology (SCF) technology in pharmaceutical research and product development. Current pharmaceutical applications of SCF technology- such as drug extraction and analysis, drug particle and drug polymorph engineering, and preparation of drug delivery systems- will be discussed, and scale up issues associated with SCF will also be reviewed.
